My Baby Sister Graduated!

About a month ago we went down for my sister, Kristina, to graduate from high school. It was awesome to be there and share that with her. Congratulations, Kristina!

Animal Hats

Our ward is doing an Explorer themed float for the Rodeo Days parade. The Primary children are going to wear cute animal hats and explorer costumes and follow the float. Unfortunately, I am not up to walking 20 or so blocks from beginning to end and back so my kids won't be in the parade. To compromise and help them feel a part of the excitement shared by their friends who will be in the parade I bought the supplies to make them cool animal hats that are similar, but not identical, to the ones that will be worn in the parade. We cut out the pieces and put them together for Family Home Evening last night and each of the kids made minature ones to match their hats. (Benjamin is the tiger, in case you were wondering, and Bekah is the giraffe.)

Wedding Quilt Done

The last few weeks have been busy with a trip to my sister's graduation and trying to complete a wedding quilt for the wedding this weekend. I am proud to say that with much help from my sister, Mary, and a friend here in our neighborhood, Sandy. I was able to complete it from start to finish in under 6 weeks. The only frustrating thing is that the size is smaller than I originally planned.
