Our ward is doing an Explorer themed float for the Rodeo Days parade. The Primary children are going to wear cute animal hats and explorer costumes and follow the float. Unfortunately, I am not up to walking 20 or so blocks from beginning to end and back so my kids won't be in the parade. To compromise and help them feel a part of the excitement shared by their friends who will be in the parade I bought the supplies to make them cool animal hats that are similar, but not identical, to the ones that will be worn in the parade. We cut out the pieces and put them together for Family Home Evening last night and each of the kids made minature ones to match their hats. (Benjamin is the tiger, in case you were wondering, and Bekah is the giraffe.)
