Lions, Leopards, and Snow

We went to the zoo back in February and it was so warm we didn't need the jackets we brought with us. The children and I had a grand time wandering around in the crowd, snacking for lunch, and learning to use Mom's new camera.

Dying Easter Eggs

A few years ago we discovered the children love to die, and eat, boiled eggs. So we have renewed that tradition at our house. I didn't quite use all three dozen eggs, but I used a lot more than we have in the past and the children had a blast coloring them.

Cousin Daniel Turns One

My sister's (Mary) oldest turned one in February, and we headed north for the party. We played in the snow, ate cake, and watched his fascination opening presents.

Family Easter Egg Hunt

We color coded the kiddos' eggs this year so they could find the ones just for them and everyone collected the same number of eggs. Bekah collected pink and purple. Ryan collected orange and yellow. Benjamin collected light and dark blue ones. It worked well and there was less squibbling about who got what or how many.
