My Baby Sister Graduated!

About a month ago we went down for my sister, Kristina, to graduate from high school. It was awesome to be there and share that with her. Congratulations, Kristina!

Animal Hats

Our ward is doing an Explorer themed float for the Rodeo Days parade. The Primary children are going to wear cute animal hats and explorer costumes and follow the float. Unfortunately, I am not up to walking 20 or so blocks from beginning to end and back so my kids won't be in the parade. To compromise and help them feel a part of the excitement shared by their friends who will be in the parade I bought the supplies to make them cool animal hats that are similar, but not identical, to the ones that will be worn in the parade. We cut out the pieces and put them together for Family Home Evening last night and each of the kids made minature ones to match their hats. (Benjamin is the tiger, in case you were wondering, and Bekah is the giraffe.)

Wedding Quilt Done

The last few weeks have been busy with a trip to my sister's graduation and trying to complete a wedding quilt for the wedding this weekend. I am proud to say that with much help from my sister, Mary, and a friend here in our neighborhood, Sandy. I was able to complete it from start to finish in under 6 weeks. The only frustrating thing is that the size is smaller than I originally planned.

Benjamin's Party

Benjamin loves building things and has made a ton of amazing things out of the Lego sets he received for his birthday.

Benjamin has been asking for Buzz Lightyear for his birthday for months. He was ecstatic to actually get it and plays with Buzz constantly!

I can't believe this little man is old enough to start school in the fall! Where did all of the time go?

Our friend, Karen, made this awesome cake. Can you tell what the theme for Benjamin's party was?

We ended up playing a lot of indoor games since we got rained on, but the kids had fun and I had a lot of help. It was an awesome day!

Benjamin's Birthday

Benjamin's birthday was on Sunday this year so we had his party the day before. With 9 o'clock church we got up a little earlier than usual so Benjamin could open his cards and presents before going to church. We love you little main!

Bekah's Party

Bekah's party was the Saturday after her birthday. We decorated bears with flowers and bows, played with balloons, and ate yummy cupcakes. Bekah informed me more than once that she was having a "Princess/Bear" party, and so it was. We love you little bug!

Bekah's Birthday

Beakh turned 3 this year! I can't believe our baby is so big. For her birthday we opened Grandma and Grandpa presents and cards, went out for smoothies, and had cake at a friend's house. She was absolutely delighted with everything!

The funniest part of the day was that Bekah kept insisting that she couldn't be three yet because she hadn't had her party. By the end of the day she changed her mind, and decided she liked being three after all.

Bekah is a "big girl" now and uses the potty (most of the time) so she doesn't "wear diapers like a baby" anymore.

Family Pictures

After almost two years of failed attempts to get a family picture, it only took over 100 pictures and three different poses to get one that everyone looked nice in. Plus, it was a lot of fun to have a unique background for our family portrait.

We found a tiny crab on our way up the rocks to pose for our pictures.
