My Kiddos Make My Job Easier

Last week we made a weekend trip to see my parents who live about ten hours away. Michael, Ryan, and I came back on Sunday, but I left my two big kids with my sister to come home a couple of days later. Yesterday, Monday, I had the house to myself and thought I would get a ton of things done while the baby was sleeping because he still sleeps for a large portion of the day. I was wrong. I was able to complete about as much as normal in the same amount of time. When my kiddos are home and helping or interrupting me I am able to accomplish more because I can often channel their energy into something they can do so I don't have to do it. What a revelation, my kids don't make my job harder or make things take longer My "To-Do" List is just way too long, but that comes with the job. A mother's work is never done, it is just important for me to take time off from working to spend time with my children and spend time taking care of myself.
