Go, Baby, Go!

Ryan is a mover and a shaker these day. He crawls everywhere he can, pulls himself up on the furniture, and toddles a few steps. Our mischevious little guy likes to crawl to the top of the stairs and sit and rock while grinning wickedly at his mom.

Being a crawler means he is into everything he can get his little hands on and he can move from place to place super fast. Having a crawler at our house is a new experience, and as frustrating as it is for him to be able to get into everything and constantly be on the go, I am fascinated watching him experience the world this way. His big brother skipped crawling for walking and his big sister only crawled up and down the stairs after we moved into our current home.

The other fascinating thing about our mobile babe is what he finds to stick in his mouth. Not much goes in his mouth, which is surprising, but he sure likes to try the taste of electronics and writing utensils. He has dumped out the dog's food several times only to watch it roll all over the floor. No tasting and no splashing in the water dish. He also hasn't eaten food off the floor, but then the dog usually beats him to the "good" stuff so there isn't much leftover.

My baby is getting so big so fast! In just a few weeks, he will be one year old. I am so glad we have a healthy, active, and usually happy baby on our hands.
