Cedar Hollow Ward Party

Tonight our ward had their annual summer barbecue and swimming party (we skipped the swimming because it started at 9 p.m.) It was nice to be outside, enjoy the cool evening, play games, and eat yummy food at the park.

Mommy and Bekah eating on the picnic blanket. Some of the ward members are in the background.

When I was pushing the children, I didn't realize they were going so high. It made them both giggle so hard that it was fun to keep pushing them higher and higher. Bekah's favorite park activity is swinging.

Here is one of Bekah playing games with Mommy. This one is called the shocker because it makes Mom jump up and down excitedly when the fingers touch while swinging.

Mom watching her children swing and play.

Benjamin climbing the slide. Ever since Benjamin figured out how to climb up the slide, he has as much fun climbing up the slide as he does sliding down.

Here is one of the games the children played. This game consisted of picking up a marble with your toes from the bottom of the swimming pool and dropping it over the side without using your hands.

This is dropping the marble over the side. When the adult asked everyone to stand in line, Benjamin shouted, "I want to be a lion!" and promptly rain to be the first on in line.

Showing his prize. He was very quick at this game.

Bekah was talking to the trees. She and Mom played a tipping over game for a while so that she could lay down and look at the trees. Mom had Bekah sitting in her lap and Bekah would arch her back until she tipped Mom over and was laying down on the picnic blanket. She had more fun doing this than Mom did, but Mom got a workout in the process.

Playing kick ball. I love this picture because his features are still clear even though you can tell that his foot and the ball are moving.
