Since I have been able to donate blood again, I try to do so as often as possible. Then, the other day I got a phone call asking me to participate in an upcoming donation. I was pleasantly surprised to be personally informed of such an opportunity, but I couldn't recall them calling people to donate before. The thought came to mind, "Are they really vampires just pretending to collect donations?" Not really, I think what the Red Cross does is amazing and I am grateful for the blood donations that save lives. I look forward to this opportunity to do waht I can for someone else.
