Our Gingerbread Houses & Forrest

We were inspired by the festival. Benjamin and I went out first thing in the morning (before breakfast) to get decorating supplies. We discussed possible supplies and collected a variety of candies and marshmellows (Benjamin wanted marshmellows for snow, even colored ones). Then we spent most of the day coming up with "gingerbread" creations.

Daddy made a snow covered church house.

Benjamin made this cool house with toothpicks and Mom helped him cut up marshmellows for the roof.

This is Mom's log cabin complete with path, log pile, snow man, sled and Santa decorations.

Our family forrest. There is one tree for each family member. Benjamin also helped me add a doggie snowman, sleds, cars, santas, snowballs, and one house.

It was a great way to explore our creativity and use our imaginations. The best part is that everything, except the toothpicks, is edible. The Christmas is fast approaching.
